DANNY Janes insists striker Aidan Clark still has plenty to give after the target man signed up for another year with Pershore Town.

Clark scored 11 goals in 27 games last season and whilst Janes says that he has "everything" a forward requires, he wants more from him this season.

"Aidan is a player I had when I managed the Worcestershire Under 18’s County side, he is a player I have followed since then and I’ve always monitored his progress." said Janes.

"When we transitioned to Pershore he was a player I was looking forward to working with.

"For me, Aidan has everything and on his day, can be unplayable. He is quick, strong, has good feet, he can hold the ball and can run in behind.

"I don’t think he got any where near the levels he is capable of last season, yet he was still so important to us.

"He has worked hard to improve his fitness and that is evident during this Pre-Season.
"Aidan Clark can have a huge impact on this season, the magnitude of the impact is all down to him."

Clark seconded the thoughts of the boss and is keen to push on in the upcoming campaign and lead Pershore to the league title.

"Really excited to be back this season." said Clark.

"Last year was an unbelievable ride but I firmly believe we’ve got the right group of players to keep improving and hit all our targets this year.

"The bunch of lads here are incredible and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else right now.

"I think I’ve personally got more to give than I showed last year but hopefully after a full pre-season, I’ll be ready to go out and help the boys get right to the top where we want to be."
