THE Romans are returning to the Cotswolds after nearly 2,000 years with a friendly visit to Moreton Show on Saturday, September 4.
Show-goers will be able to explore a Roman encampment and children can become soldiers for a day – taking part in battles and marches in the attractions arena.
To add to the excitement there will be a display in the grand arena by Guido Louis and his Rockin’ Horse Stunt Team.
Offering a mixture of medieval style riding and post-apocalyptic showmanship, the group of highly skilled stunt men and women have entertained the Sultan of Oman and the King of Bahrain, as well as having trained a film crew in the art of horsemanship.
Show chairman Nickki Eden said: “I’m delighted that this year’s programme offers such a broad selection of entertainment. We seek only to feature the best and this year is certainly no exception. We’re going to have a fantastic display of livestock and poultry. We’re delighted with the number of entries we have and are looking forward to celebrating the very best of our countryside.”
