A BONFIRE, fireworks and live music event will be held at the riverside gardens of The Angel Inn Hotel in Pershore on Saturday.
A bonfire will be lit at 6pm followed by children’s entertainment until 8pm in a separate children’s tent.
The fireworks extravaganza will begin at 7.30pm followed by live music from The Retrophonics and hot food, beer and cider tents will be open and serving until midnight.
A £5,000 budget has been earmarked for the evening, partly funded by a grant from the hotel’s parent company, St. Catherine’s Holdings Limited.
Any money made from the community event will go towards making the event bigger and better the following year.
Darren Eden, who owns the company, said: “We are delighted to again stage The Angel’s Bonfire and Fireworks evening as an informal community event for the people of Pershore.
“This year we will see a firework display twice the size of that which we set off to celebrate our Big Plum weekend in support of the Pershore Plum Festival.”
Tickets cost £3 for adults and £1 for children and are available from the High Street hotel.
