YOUNGSTERS at an Evesham school took a step back in time when they donned Saxon costumes to discover more about that time in history.
Year 4 children at St. Richard's CE First School, in Evesham, dressed as Saxons and found out about life in Saxon times from a visitor, Saxon Warrior Leotta.
Sue Evans, Year 4 teacher, said: "They took part in quizzes, Saxon games, solved Saxon riddles, fought a Saxon battle and buried a Great Saxon Warrior King.
"The Saxons are now part of the new year 4 curriculum and so is a completely new topic for us."
