FOLLOWING the efforts of local resident Paul Leighton, the Cotswold Journal and the Campden Business Forum, the ATM in Chipping Campden’s Market Square, which has been out of service for several months after an attempted break in, is now working.
NoteMachine, the company that manages the cash dispenser, has apologised for the difficulties caused to residents, businesses and visitors and has acknowledged they have let people down.
As a gesture of goodwill NoteMachine has donated £1000 to the local community. These funds are going to be divided between Campden Home Nursing and a fund-raising campaign to have CCTV installed on the High Street.
Speaking about the ATM, Nick West, Chairman of the Campden Business Forum, thanked the Cotswold Journal for publicising the problem in a recent issue of the paper and Paul Leighton for his efforts in resolving this matter.
