DUDLEY South MP Mike Wood has hailed his latest jobs fair at Brierley Hill Civic Hall a “huge success".
A host of job-seekers had chance to meet and network with a range of companies and employers, from retailers to construction firms, at last Thursday's event which was sponsored by intu Merry Hill.
Only employers with current open vacancies were invited to attend the jobs fair, which was supported and attended by West Midlands Mayor, Andy Street.
Conservative MP Mike Wood said: “This year’s jobs fair has been another huge success, with nearly one thousand people attending to speak to the range of employers and work training organisations on offer.
“Many people in Dudley South are still looking for their ideal job, which is why I host a jobs fair each year to bring those companies and organisations with opportunities available face-to-face with local people looking for work, training or a change of career.
“I would like to thank intu Merry Hill for generously sponsoring the event, the Department for Work and Pension for their support and West Midlands Mayor Andy Street for his continued support and enthusiasm for the Dudley borough.”
