THE analysis of the Ludlow-wide household survey conducted earlier in the summer has just been released.

It gives some ideas on what is wanted in Ludlow over the next five years.

Councillor Erica Garner, who is leading the Community Plan, is excited at the prospects for the town.

“Some of the ideas are more easily and quickly achieved,” she said.

“The ideas come from the community and the whole purpose of the Community Led Plan is that it is the voice of the community which will shape our beautiful town.”

There have been three public meetings held in September where the survey results were shared and initial discussions will start to investigate how key projects can be delivered.

Ludlow Town Council will use the results to help determine how it sets its priorities for the provision of services that it provides to the town.

The Council has to allocate its budget each year and this involves determining the services and activities that people consider to be the most important.

Councillors can also utilise the information from the survey to help determine how they allocate the grant funding that is distributed to groups and organisations in and around the town.

It will also help influence the decision about taking on services in the future that have been cut or that are no longer provided by Shropshire Council in order to save money.
