MONEY was stolen when two distraction burglars, pretending to be from the "water board" talked their way into a house in Upper Moor, Pershore, on Thursday, October 4.
The offender said they had come to repair some pipes, and the householder admitted them, only to find later that the money had gone missing.
A police spokesman said: "Please make any elderly or vulnerable people aware of this incident. There is no such thing as the 'water board' or 'gas board', and all callers should carry an identification badge with their company details. Genuine callers will not be offended if you refuse to answer the door."
