FIREWORKS, a fair and live music are scheduled for this year's Bonfire Night spectacular at Sanders Park.

The event will run from 5pm on Saturday, November 3, with music starting at 5.30pm, the bonfire at 7pm and fireworks from 7.30pm.

Headliners include Bowie and Roxy tribute band The Major Toms, rock band Trigger and singer Jasmine Rawlins.

Bromsgrove District Council is hosting the event in partnership with Primrose Hospice, which will receive a donation from the ticket sales.

Cllr Peter Whittaker, portfolio holder for leisure and cultural services, said: "Our Bonfire Night celebration is one of the biggest annual events in Bromsgrove’s calendar and provides more than just an entertaining evening for our visitors because the event also supports Primrose Hospice.

"So whilst it’s lots of fun and popular with residents of all ages, it also helps support this worthy charity.”

Tickets cost £5 for adults, £3 for children, £14 for a family of two adults and two children, or free for under-twos.

They are now on sale at Primrose's high street shop and the district council's Parkside office.

There will also be a high street market stall on November 2 and November 3 from 11am to 3pm.

Visitors who have purchased tickets prior to the event should enter through the normal entrance. Anyone wishing to buy cash-only tickets on the gate from 5pm should go to the overspill car park entrance.

Kidderminster Road will be closed to vehicle traffic from 5pm to 9pm on the night.

On-site disabled parking is pre-bookable through the council's events team on 01527 534030.
