A BUSY highway in Redditch had to be closed after a person was threatening to jump from a bridge.
Moons moat Island/Coventry Highway A4023 was closed around midnight while police dealt with the incident.
Motorists were urged to avoid the area to prevent delays and allow emergency services to deal with the situation.
Officers managed to safely deal with the person on the bridge and the highway was opened a few hours later.
A police spokesman said that they are now receiving the necessary support.
