A 59-YEAR-old woman who has difficulty walking and communicating verbally has been reported missing.

Erna Bellamy is described as white, of slim build with short grey hair and brown eyes and is believed to have been wearing a blue coat and blue jeans.

Officers have carried out extensive CCTV work to try to establish Erna's whereabouts, and now know that she was at Hereford train station at approximately 6.15pm yesterday evening.

Detective Inspector Mark Peters from West Mercia Police said: "Erna has been missing for over 17 hours now and we are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare as she is not local to the Hereford area and has difficulty walking and communicating verbally.

"I urge anyone who may have caught a train from Hereford station yesterday evening to think carefully about their journey and whether they remember seeing Erna, as it may be that she caught a train outside of Herefordshire."

Anyone who may have seen Erna or has information as to her whereabouts, is asked to please call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident number 579s of 17 December 2018.
