DEWDROPS on a spider's web glimmer like tiny, floating gems in our incredible close-up Camera Club picture of the day, taken by Rohit Christo.
"I specialise in macro photography. I have a macro lens and my camera was set on manual for this picture," Rohit said.
"It usually takes me about 5 minutes to find the correct position to take the picture. I'm usually looking for the tiniest details amongst nature."
Despite the unpopularity of spiders amongst many people, the delicate strength and toughness of spider silk, so beautifully demonstrated in this image, has led to a huge amount of research, with scientists and engineers keen to replicate and mass produce the substance.
