HIGH street toy store The Entertainer will open officially at Kidderminster's Swan Centre this weekend.

The family-owned toy retailer will be hosting a grand opening event on Saturday, February 16 in Kidderminster to celebrate the launch of its new store this week.

To mark the opening, LEGO’s Batman character will also be making a special appearance.

The event will start in store from 9am and include a fun-filled day of entertainment for all ages, with appearances from Batman between 10am and 4pm.

Children will be able to take part in balloon modelling, in store demonstrations, face-painting, giveaways and competitions.

The Entertainer will be joined by Home-Start Wyre Forest, which provides support to parents with young children in the area, at the launch.

Lynda Williams, of Home-Start Wyre Forest, said: “We are thrilled about being chosen by The Entertainer to take part in the grand opening.

"This is a unique experience and the gift card to buy toys for the charity is going to make a huge difference. We are so grateful for this opportunity."

Craig Lowe, events coordinator at The Entertainer, added: “We are really looking forward to The Entertainer’s grand opening event in Kidderminster.

"It will be great for the children to meet some of their favourite life-sized characters and have their picture taken.”
