Hannah Croft and Fiona Pearce, stars of BBC Radio 4’s ‘The Croft & Pearce Show’ and ‘Sketchorama’, are set to entertain a local audience at The Artrix in Bromsgrove.

A spokesman said: "Having produced their most labour-intensive work to date - their first babies, born a week apart - Croft and Pearce return with a hugely successful brand new sketch-based tale, featuring some of their star characters, such as June and Jean, alongside an exciting cocktail of brand new creations.

"Hannah and Fiona met at school, followed each other to Oxford University, then both trained for three years at drama school (Hannah at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and Fiona at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama).

"Their BBC Radio 4 'Sketchorama’ episode resulted in a nomination for Best Scripted Comedy at the BBC Audio Drama Awards 2015. This led to the commission of their first solo sketch show for BBC Radio 4, ‘The Croft & Pearce Show’. In addition to their own live shows and Radio 4 series, they have written for Tracey Breaks The News (BBC1), Numtums (CBeebies), and The Mash Report (BBC2).

Plaudit has followed plaudit, with the Daily Express enjoying "a laugh-out-loud sketch show" and with a critic for The Telegraph praising them for being "masters of pinpoint observation and characterisation".

If that were not enough, no less a star than Alistair McGowan described Croft and Pearce as "sketch comedy at its very best"

Plaudits have also been matched by a clutch of awards.

They are winners of the Mervyn Stutter Spirit of the Fringe Award , as well as being Whats On London Comedy Award nominees.

As a critic for The Skinny put it: "A good double-act can always bring the house down, and this pair of Fringe favourites show us how to do just that."

And a local audience won't have to wait too long to be entertained.

The date for the diary is Saturday March 2, from 7.30pm.
