A WOMAN was jailed for 25 weeks for assaulting a woman and a detention officer.
Magistrates handed Kayden Smith 16 weeks for attacking the woman.
The sentence was so harsh in part because of the impact on the victim and the defendant's criminal record.
She was also imprisoned for a further nine weeks for assaulting the detention officer.
Both crimes took place in Worcester on December 16.
She was also caught driving without insurance in Tetbury Drive, Worcester, on December 14.
Smith, aged 31, of Chedworth Drive, Worcester, pleaded guilty to all of the offences.
Worcester Magistrates Court also told the defendant to pay £550 in compensation, on February 8.
