The incident happened on Quarry Bank High Street.
TWO police officers were assaulted in Quarry Bank after going to help a woman in distress.
The attack took place when two police officers went to help a distressed woman on the High Street, just after 8am this morning (March 26).
The officers took the 23-year-old home where she physically attacked them.
One officer suffered a cut to the hand, and the other sustained grazes to both hands, according to a police spokesperson.
The woman was arrested and is currently in police custody.
