LAWYERS from a local law firm have raised over £3,800 for local hospice as part of a Will-writing drive.

mfg Solicitors, which has an office in Worcester, recently offered its services for free in support of St Richard’s Hospice’s ‘Write a Will’ month – an initiative aimed at encouraging people to plan for the future.

Amanda Piper, an Associate and head of the firm’s elderly care and court of protection team, said: "We were delighted to have raised so much money for St Richard’s Hospice.

"This is the sixth year we have been running this initiative with the team at St Richard’s Hospice and over that period we have raised almost £22,000 for the charity. That’s all thanks to the support from people across Worcester and beyond."

Ria Simons, St Richard’s Hospice corporate fundraiser, said: "Through the kindness of mfg Solicitors we are able to raise more money to continue offering our services for free to patients and their families.

"We depend on donations and legacies from generous supporters to raise the millions of pounds we need every year to provide our services."
