THE Ludlow Museum at the Buttercross is offering Easter activities to keep children occupied.
Easter weekend is an opportunity for children to enjoy treats and fun.
There are free activities for children including colouring, puzzles, and an Easter trail in the Buttercross with a chocolate treat for each child.
As well as the permanent exhibits of Ludlow from 400 million years ago, through the medieval period right up to World War One, there is a temporary springtime exhibition of birds, bees and butterflies – all from Ludlow Museum’s larger collection originally curated by John Norton.
The Buttercross has its own history and was at one time the town’s Buttermarket.
It was built in 1743 and marked the original centre of the town.
The Buttercross has also been a school and the offices of Ludlow Town Council until a few years ago.
It is open 10-4pm this Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Children go free. Adult admission charge is £1.
