FOSTER Care Fortnight kicked off today with an appeal for people in Worcestershire who could change a child's life.
The UK’s biggest awareness campaign for foster care runs from May 13 to 26 and sees foster carers and staff from all agencies unite to show appreciation for those already working to support young people, and also appeal for more people to take up a role.
A campaign spokesman said: "Foster Care Fortnight is promoting #changeafuture this year, as that’s exactly what fostering does – change the futures of fostered children and young people, as well as the foster families who look after them."
This year Nexus Fostering, an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ rated agency, which is based in Gloucester and operates in Worcestershire, is among those looking for new recruits. See nexusfostering.co.uk or call 0800 389 0143.
