POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man's leg was crushed between a bus and a stationary lorry in Kidderminster.

The Midlands Air Ambulance, paramedics and police were called to the scene in Coventry Street just before 1pm on Thursday, June 13.

A road worker suffered "crush injuries" and an open wound to his leg after becoming trapped between the two vehicles as the bus negotiated a corner in roadworks.

The man was treated at the scene for "potentially serious injuries" and was taken to hospital, where it is believed he underwent surgery.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) was called and police have been examining CCTV footage in the area.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to contact police.
