THE Worcestershire County Council chairman hit the bullseye at a charity darts game on Wednesday (June 19).
Peter Tomlinson took part in a charity tournament organised by the Mayor of Kidderminster, to raise money for the Mayoral charities; Crackerjack Children’s Trust, 1st Kidderminster Boys’ Brigade and Blue Cross Bromsgrove rehoming centre.
It was held at the Cavalier Public House at Offmore, Kidderminster and featured a darts match between various civic dignitaries.
As well as the county council chairman, also taking part were the mayors from Kidderminster, Stourport, Worcester and Droitwich and the Vice-Chairman of Wychavon District Council.
At the end of the evening, County Chairman Peter came out on top, winning a trophy and a bottle of fizz.
This was a welcome success after his crash at the Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb on Saturday.
He said: “After my misfortune on the racetrack last week, my success with the darts has cheered me up considerably.”
“Thankfully my hands have stopped shaking and I was able to hit the target. But the most important thing is that an enjoyable evening has raised funds for the Mayor’s local charities”
