AN annual race day is set to return to the city for its second year, in a bid to raise funds for a good cause.

Worcestershire Ambassadors will be hosting another race day spectacular to raise money and support for mental health charities.

The racing event, which takes place on September 10 at Worcester’s Pitchroft Racecourse, aims to boost funds for St Paul's Hostel and Worcester Community Trust.

Julia Williams, vice chair of Worcestershire Ambassadors, said: “The race day is held at Worcester Racecourse, the fantastic asset we have on our doorstep that we want to help promote.

“Worcestershire Ambassadors aim is to promote the county as a great place to live, work, invest, visit and do business and what better way to do it than to hold a race day at Worcester Racecourse.

“It's a fun community way to raise the profile of the charities, mental health and also utilise the use of the racecourse.”
