Last Thursday has been confirmed as officially the hottest day on record in the UK.
Temperatures across the country soared and the mercury hit 38.7C in Cambridge on July 25, breaking the record for the hottest day ever in the UK.
The previous record of 38.5C, recorded in Faversham in 2003 was beaten by a whisker as the country bathed in sunshine.
Worcester did not break its previous record of 37C, but the city basked in the heat on the hottest day of the year so far.
