COMIC fans will be in their element as superheroes and tyrants are set to return to the city for this year’s comic-con event.

The event will be the third comic-con convention that has taken place in Worcester.

Comic book lovers will dress up in outfits of their favourite characters and meet different celebrities at the event.

Josh Herdman from Harry Potter, Carolyn Seymore from Star Trek, David Schaal from The Inbetweeners and Catrin Stewart from Doctor Who will be a few of the guests who will be attending.

A number of other artists have also been announced.

The event has attracted some big names previously from film and television, such as the fifth Doctor Who, Peter Davison and John Challis, who famously played Boycie in Only Fools and Horses.

There is an opportunity for guests to get an autograph from their favourite character.

Another part of the day will involve a Question and Answer panel.

This is an opportunity to find out the secrets from stars and talent behind the variety of television shows.

It’ll allow the audience to have the chance to play the role of a journalist and find out the stories of each artist. Entry is free but seats are on a first come first served basis as there is only 140 spaces available.

At 1pm the cast of Red Dwarf will share their tales from on set.

From 2pm there will be a multitude of experience spoken about by the man himself, John Rhys-Davies.

Following this will be a panel with Arthur Darvill talking about his career at 3pm.

The event is being organised through the Em-Con group, which holds events across the country.

The doors will open at 10am at Worcester Arena, in Hylton Road, on Saturday, September 14.

Tickets have gone on sale and start from £10 for adults and £5 for children, and are available at worcester.em-con.co.uk.
