A MAN who died in a collision on the M5 got on the motorway at Bromsgrove, say police officers who are appealing for information from potential witnesses.
Police are seeking dashcam footage from the motorway between J4A (Bromsgrove) and J11 (Gloucester) on Wednesday night (August 7) before the collision occurred.
A motorist reported a small silver hatchback car down an embankment around a mile south of the junction 10 exit for Cheltenham just before 5.30am the following morning (Thursday, August 8).
Officers attended and a man, believed to be the driver, was declared dead at the scene on the southbound carriageway by paramedics.
No one else was in the vehicle and enquiries are ongoing to identify and inform the man's next of kin.
Initial enquiries have suggested that the car got on the M5 at junction 4A at Bromsgrove.
The vehicle then travelled down the M5 between 10.30-11.30pm, which is the timeframe in which dashcam footage is being sought.
Anyone with footage they can share with police should call 101 or email 101@gloucestershire.police.uk and quote incident 72 of 8 August.
