A SUMMER fete for all the family is coming to Worcester this month.

On Thursday, August 22, the Commandery is playing host to the Worcestershire Advance summer fete.

The aim is to raise money for mental health support for 16 to 18-year olds across Worcestershire.

Their summer fete will run from 4pm until 7.30pm and members of the public are welcome to attend.

Chris Orr, chair of Worcestershire Advance, said: “Our stall holders are kindly donating a percentage of their takings from the fete.

"This will be combined with donations received on the day and the money from the games to allow us to pay for Carie Workman of New Beginnings to go into local sixth forms and colleges and coach the students on the best ways to safeguard their mental health now and in the future."

A variety of local businesses will be attending the event, including jewellery makers, henna artists, clothes makers, alongside a range of independent food and drink stalls.

Eventgoers will be spoilt for choice of food, drink and entertainment as family-friendly games are available for those attending to play, with prizes and a bottle tombola.

Event partners Tonic, Paradiddles, Studio B and The Burger Shop and Churchfields will be joining the stall holders with the Commandery Coffee.

Worcestershire Advance is a membership organisation of more than 60 individuals, employees and small businesses from across the county.
