THERE will be an exhibition of photographs through September in Tenbury library.

It will show the work of former lens men who worked in local newspapers.

Phil Loach, an ex-Newsquest staff photographer has a joint photo exhibition being in Tenbury Wells Library until the end of the month.

His colleague is Alan Worrall, and they are both ex-Berrows staffers.

Mr Loach is 69 and lives in Tenbury, Mr Worrall is 80 and lives in Stourbridge.

Alan was news editor at the County Express, before moving on to the Post and Mail, and later the Express and Star.

Up until this Mr Loach was a photographer with the Stourbridge News Group, both staff and later freelance.

“Our exhibition of 40 photographs entitled ‘Encounters with Art,’ depicts artists, artworks and visitors, taken in the UK and European venues,” said Mr Loach.

It is at the Tenbury library until Saturday, September 28.

This is the second showing for the exhibition; it’s first outing was at the Waterside Gallery, Dudley Canal and Tunnel Trust HQ, by the Black Country Museum, in June this year.

The two photographers have seen many changes to their profession over their working lives. When they started, they would have been shooting black and white film using the iconic Nikon F1. Then came colour film and printing in newspapers. This was followed by digital.
