A WOMAN has been airlifted to hospital after a crash on the A4103 between Hereford and Worcester this afternoon.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said they were called at 2.54pm to reports of a two-car crash at Lower Eggleton, between Newtown Cross and Fromes Hill.

They have sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer to the scene and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire air ambulance to the scene.

"There were three patients in total, two were out of the vehicle and one was trapped due to injury," a spokesperson for the service said.

"One patient, the woman who was trapped, has been airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

"She was treated for serious injuries not believed to be life-threatening."

The driver of the second car, a male, was treated for injuries not thought to be serious and taken to Hereford County Hospital.

A teenage woman who was a passenger in the car, was also taken to Hereford, with minor injuries.
