A LARGE fuel spillage is currently affecting parts of Hereford city.
A spokesperson said clean-up crews are on scene in Castle Street, Quay Street and the Cathedral Entry to make the area safe.
The affected area of Castle Street is closed at present.
Absorbent granules have been laid and workers will return to sweep the road later today.
A fire service spokesperson said a crew from Hereford Fire Station were called at 1.30pm to contain a significant fuel spillage from entering drains in Castle Street after a vehicle collided with a rising bollard.
