A FUN packed casino event has been organised to support a family’s desperate appeal to save their five-year-old son’s life.
The ‘OsCasino’ night will take place at the Guildhall on Friday, October 11 in a bid to raise vital funds for Pitmaston Primary School student, Oscar Saxelby-Lee.
The light-hearted evening will see guests pit themselves against each other at Casino games like roulette, blackjack and racing card derby.
There will be a Peaky Blinders/1920s dress code to add a bit of glamour to the night, although it is optional to dress up.
Players will pay for an entry ticket, which will 'buy' them some fake casino money, handed out at the start of the evening. If a player runs out of ‘money’, they will have the opportunity to buy more cash to continue betting.
The person with the most casino money at the end of the evening will win a prize. All of the proceeds of the event will go to the Oscar Appeal.

Alicia Stallard, chairman of Pitmaston PTA, said: “We are hoping to get lots of entertainment for the night. There will also be drinks and snacks on offer as well as a raffle.
“Guests are encouraged to wear fancy frocks and baker boy caps to suit the evening’s theme of the roaring twenties. It looks set to be a great night.”
She also added thanks to the Guildhall who have generously provided the Lower Hall for the evening - as well as to the Malvern Hills Lions Club who have donated the casino tables and their volunteer croupiers completely free of charge.
The event will start at 7pm until 11pm and costs £15 for a ticket. To buy a ticket visit the Facebook page OsCasino Night @ the Guildhall or go to www.pta-events.co.uk/pitmaston/
All the money raised by the PTA on the night will go towards the Hand in Hand for Oscar appeal - to support Oscar’s lifesaving CAR-T cell therapy in Singapore.
The treatment for the rare leukaemia he's been suffering from since last Christmas is currently unavailable on the NHS. The local community have given overwhelming support to Oscar, who is fighting for his life against leukaemia.
Schools and businesses have also backed the campaign and taken part in a non-uniform or dress down in exchange for a minimum £1 donation.
Back in March, thousands queued at the school, in St John’s, to register as stem cell donors after hearing of Oscar’s story. To donate, visit gkcct.com/oscar
