AN alleged drugs conspirator will face trial alongside men accused of wielding a crossbow and an imitation gun during a suspected Worcester turf war.

Asgar Khalfe denied conspiracy to supply crack cocaine and heroin in Worcester when he appeared at the city's crown court on Friday.

Both conspiracies are said by the prosecution to have taken place in Worcester between January 1 and August 31, 2017.

The 35-year-old, previously of Townley Gardens, Aston, Birmingham denied a further count of conspiracy to damage property, said to have taken place on August 31, 2017.

Khalfe, Scott Fewtrell, Tommy Lee Jauncey, Kane Ingram, and Jake Cox appeared together at Worcester Crown Court at a hearing last month.

Ingram, aged 21, of Saddlers Walk, Worcester admitted conspiracy to supply crack cocaine and heroin, both class A drugs, between January 1 and August 31, 2017 but denied conspiracy to commit an assault.

Jake Cox, 28, of Mill Street, Worcester, admitted conspiracy to supply heroin as part of the same conspiracy.

Fewtrell, aged 27, of Chedworth Drive, Worcester and Jauncey, aged 22, previously of St George's Lane, Worcester, both denied conspiracy to supply crack cocaine and heroin over the same period. Both men also denied conspiracy to commit an assault.

Jauncey further denied being concerned in the supply of cannabis (a class B drug) between September 1, 2016 and August 31, 2017.

He denied conspiracy to damage property, possession of an offensive weapon (a crossbow) in Chedworth Grove, Worcester, and possession of an imitation firearm (a blank firing pistol) to cause fear of unlawful violence on August 30, 2017.

Fewtrell denied having an offensive weapon (a crossbow) in Carlisle Road, Worcester on August 30, 2017.

The trial is due to be heard by Judge Nicolas Cartwright at Worcester Crown Court on December 2 this year. The trial has been given a 12 day time estimate.
