POLICE are investigating into a report of fireworks being used to harm a hamster in a Kidderminster park.
A gang of youths were seen setting off fireworks in Springfield Park at 8.20pm on Tuesday, October 8.
Police later found remnants of a hamster box in the vicinity of fireworks that had been sent off.
PCSO Luke Holloway said: "It's a very emotive subject. If they have harmed a hamster, we need to know about it.
"There are some sick people out there."
Investigations are currently ongoing and police have asked people with information regarding the incident to contact them to prevent similar acts.
