A CHARITY lunch in aid of the breast cancer unit at Worcester's hospital was a great success, says its organiser.

The event last Friday was set up by Tanya O'Donnell, who was treated at the unit after being diagnosed with the disease in 2017.

It was held at Copper Beech House in Avenue Road, and raised £1,700 for the cause

She said: "So many lovely ladies and a gentleman or two took part wearing pink to support the cause.

"We had a big-hearted local business called Impact Aerial donate their time on Friday and take some terrific aerial photos and film clips.

"We are not stopping there. Friday, October 25, is the Halloween local business social party at the Mount Pleasant Hotel in Malvern.

"This event starts at 7pm and is open to all local business people who would like to socialise and network with food, fun, games and fundraising for Worcs Breast Care Unit."
