A LARGE amount of cash was stolen in a distraction theft in Ledbury.
Police said the victim was approached on Church Lane at 11.50pm on October 18 by a woman claiming to be a charity worker collecting for the charity.
The victim made a donation from their purse and was then asked to produce ID and write their name on the clipboard the collector was carrying.
They later found a large amount of money had been stolen from their purse.
