AS the region suffers persistant heavy rain a flood warning is in place to the south of Redditch.

The River Arrow between Studley and Salford Priors and the River Alne between Bird in Hand and Alcester on the River Alne are at risk according the Environment Agency.

Flooding is already affecting low lying land and roads near rivers and with downpours expected to continue omore areas including farmland, property and roads are at risk.

People are advised to avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers.
