OSCAR Saxelby-Lee has arrived in Singapore and begun his treatment.

In a post on their Facebook page, Oscar's parents wrote: "It’s now 5 pm in Singapore and we have had two manic days indeed.

"Straight into NUH hospital on arrival where Oscar underwent a bone marrow aspiration under sedation.

"Waiting on results before he is admitted tomorrow for the harvesting of his cells which as you can imagine is quite frightening

"We are all so jet lagged and Oscar is absolutely shattered, but he is having a lovely time here with his new buddy Monty.

"We have been super fortunate to meet some lovely people so far who truly are becoming special to Oscar.

"Thank you Sue and Paul for putting us up whilst we ride this next journey.

"Anyone who knows Oscar will know how quickly he bonds with people and these guys along with his new consultant have been attending to his every needs making this whole trip a great experience.

"Unfortunately, Oscar is a little nervous about tomorrow, since he has to have a line inserted into his leg.

"This is to help the blood flow around the machine that will begin at his central line and feed around his body to extract the T cells.

"Bless his heart, he said to Daddy ‘I just can’t wait to finish my treatment’."

Oscar and his family had to travel to Singapore after they found out his leukaemia had returned.

The trip to Singapore is for expensive Car-T cell therapy, which is not available on the NHS.

The money to fly to Singapore and receive treatment was raised by members of the public, who joined forces to raise £500,000 in just three and a half weeks.
