The fairest pantomime of them all is coming to The Swan Theatre in Worcester.

And that must be a big clue about the festive fun.

Think about mirrors, evil spells and a number of height-challenged miners...

A spokesman said: “Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it’s off to the Swan we go for another magical family pantomime! Join the Worcester Repertory Company for the highlight of the festive season as they melt hearts with one of the most enchanting pantomimes of them all, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

“Can beautiful Snow White escape the reaches of her evil Stepmother, the Wicked Queen Grizelda, and find safety with her seven trusty friends deep in the heart of the forest?

“Who is that old crone who comes bearing such a tempting red apple? And when all seems lost, can love’s first kiss save the day?”

Well, let’s certainly hope so. The line-up is certainly there for panto magic.

The spokesman said: “Starring Ben Humphrey as everyone’s favourite Dame Ginny, and, direct from Hairspray and the West End’s Matilda The Musical, Oliver Brooks as the lovable Muddles, plus Harry Potter star Imelda Staunton as the Voice of the Magic Mirror, you can expect all of the characters that you know and love, plus plenty of surprises along the way.

“With dazzling costumes, stunning sets and audience participation aplenty, this all-singing, all-dancing spectacular promises to be the Swan Theatre’s funniest and most magical panto yet.

“Mirror, mirror on the wall – this will be the best panto of them all!”

An audience won’t have very long to find out.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs runs from December 2 through to the January 5 at the Swan Theatre, Worcester.

So there’s plenty of chances to catch up with the panto fun all through the festive period and into the new year.
