PEOPLE in Herefordshire will have their last chance to have their say on Herefordshire Council's proposed budget, as they bring their tour of the county to hear people’s views to a close.

More than 1,500 people took part in a previous consultation held earlier this year, and the council say they will be using feedback to further develop their 2020-24 corporate plan, setting out the aims of policy and investment priorities for the council.

Time is now running out to have your say on the proposed budget, which would support the cost of development and investment in the county’s communities, economy and environment.

To balance the budget for 2020/21, there is a proposed four per cent increase to next year’s council tax (made from a two per cent increase ring-fenced for adult social care, and a further two per cent to go towards the rest of the council’s services).

The last community events for the public to give their views are:

• 26 November 10am – 2pm, Ledbury Market House

• 28 November 10am – 2pm, Ross-on-Wye Library

• 29 November 10am – 2pm, Kington Place de Marines

The closing date for the proposed budget consultation is 4 December 2019.
