Don’t have yourself a Blue Christmas, unless it’s with Elvis.

And as that’s not actually possible, why not get all seasonal with a tribute act instead?

The Elvis Years at Christmas is coming to Malvern Theatres, and while the real Elvis most certainly will not in the building, Santa might be, as a special guest. Who knows?

(Of course, if ‘Elvis’ does get a pressie, he’s sure to say, “thank you very much’ to Santa, in his well-mannered Southern way.)

A spokesman said: “It is time to get well and truly in the Christmas spirit as smash-hit musical production The Elvis Years brings its very special seasonal twist to theatres across the UK in late 2019.

“Experience an Elvis-style Christmas like never before in an evening packed with solid-gold classics from ‘the King’, plus all the moments that help to make Christmas the most wonderful time of the year.”

The spokesman added: “Two hours of rock and roll favourites such as Ready Teddy, Hound Dog, Devil in Disguise, Return to Sender, All Shook Up, Viva Las Vegas, Suspicious Minds PLUS popular festive songs such as Blue Christmas, Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree, Walking in a Winter Wonderland – and even a good old carol sing-along around the piano.”

The spokesman added: “The world-class feel-good show is back – so, if all you want for Christmas is a silk scarf from Elvis – book your tickets now and you may just get your hands on an early stocking-filler!

“Santa is in the building!”

Six decades after Elvis Presley first walked into Sun Studios in Memphis as a teenage truck driver, the story of ‘The King’ is being brought to life on stages across the UK "in the form of an outstanding musical production".

The show is billed as an "authentic concert production, featuring Mario Kombou from the highly acclaimed West End musical ‘Jailhouse Rock’ and led by legendary producer, musical director and Ivor Novello award-winner David Mackay".

The date for the diary is December 5, at 7.45pm.
