STAFF at a home care service based in Bromsgrove are delighted after receiving the highest possible rating following a Care Quality Commission inspection (CQC).

Eclipse HomeCare, who have teams based based in Gilbert Court, Bromsgrove and Kidderminster were awarded an 'outstanding' rating for their health and social care provision.

Founder and Managing Director, Rob Gready said ‘’It’s all down to our fantastic teams of caregivers who work incredibly hard in the local community. They are always going the extra mile to make our clients happy.

"Only 2 to 3 per cent of inspections result in an 'outstanding’ award which makes this achievement all the more pleasing.

"I am delighted the CQC have recognised the outstanding performance of our caregivers and the support team, led by Ann Jackson, Care Manager.’’

Inspectors highlighted in a report that ‘‘people, relatives and staff told us they found the service to be very well managed, and was a remarkably caring service’’

They also noted that “people shared and expressed their great satisfaction with the exceptional management at the service and how they felt it was driven with a strong emphasis on promoting inclusion and independence”.

Care manager Ann Jackson said: “Our staff are thrilled to have their work recognised by the CQC as 'outstanding' for care.

"This is a demanding but incredibly rewarding job, it suits those who have a passion to make a difference, who like independence and responsibility.

"This is great news for a great team.”
