A CITY shop is taking part in a scheme to give unwanted toys to children living in poverty.
The Entertainer, in the Shambles, Worcester, is taking part in the nationwide The Big Toy Rehoming campaign in partnership with The Salvation Army, from January 2 to 31.
Families can donate unwanted toys to the Entertainer branch so they can then be given to The Salvation Army to pass on to underprivileged children.
The initiative aims to reduce the number of toys that could find their way into landfill, whilst helping children living in poverty.
In June and September 2019, 16,000 toys were rehomed nationwide.
Kirk Bradley, of the Salvation Army, said: “Donations from the last Big Toy Rehoming campaign hugely helped in continuing to provide practical and emotional support for vulnerable people in the UK.
