POLICE say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a man found lying in a Stourbridge street at the weekend.

Officers along with paramedics were called to Union Street at around 9am on Saturday (January 11) to reports of a man who had suffered a cardiac arrest.

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent two ambulances to the incident but a spokesman confirmed: "Crews found a man who couldn't be saved and he was confirmed deceased at the scene."

The identity of the man, who was reportedly found by a postal worker, has not been released.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "There were no suspicious circumstances."
