A WORCESTER vets has temporarily closed due to a water leak.

The Stocks Veterinary Centre, in Lower Wick, has been forced to shut following a major water leak over the weekend which has left the building with no electricity or water.

Owen Williams, practice manager, told the Worcester News that the closure will not affect business.

He said: “Everything has been fine. It’s an internal leak inside the property. Nothing external.”

Mr Williams said he is unsure when the surgery will re-open as he is waiting for the landlord to sort the building's insurance.

A Facebook status was posted on Monday (February 3) by The Stocks Veterinary Centre, which said: “Important notice. We have had a major water leak at our Lower Wick Surgery over the weekend. We will struggle to see any patients at the Lower Wick surgery today and will likely have ongoing issues this week as we have no electricity or water.
