SINGERS from a women's choir have celebrated a year since it was formed. Sabrina Voices Ladies Choir celebrated its first birthday on Tuesday, February 4 at its weekly session.
The choir, which has 50 members, was formed by its musical director Tom Wells, in February 2019 and has already impressed audiences.
Mr Wells said: “The ladies have done extremely well, and Tuesday evenings have become such fun. We all go away feeling uplifted by the hour of singing together. Singing in a choir really does contribute our physical and mental well-being.”
The choir’s repertoire covers a wide variety of music from classical to modern. Potential new members can attend a free open rehearsal at 7pm on Tuesday, February 11 in Callow End School.
Mr Well added: “Ideally, ladies should have some previous experience of performing in a choir, but enthusiasm is the most important ingredient.” For further information, call 07702996203 or talwells@btinternet.com
