A 39-year-old man has admitted exposure after he performed a sex act on himself.

Wayne Tack of Ednall Lane, Bromsgrove, pleaded guilty to exposure in front of a female victim when he appeared over videolink at Worcester Crown Court on Wednesday following the incident on February 3 this year.

Martin Butterworth, defending, accepted that Tack had some 'worrying previous convictions', including similar offences when a teenager.

"Mr Tack understands the likely outcome, as he's pleaded guilty, will be a further sentence of imprisonment," he said.

However, Mr Butterworth asked for a pre-sentence report to be prepared to 'see what has been happening in the intervening period'.

The report, prepared by the probation service, is designed to assist the sentencing judge by providing background information about the defendant.

Judge Robert Juckes QC agreed to adjourn sentence for this to be done but warned Tack that this was no indication that a non-custodial sentence would follow.

He said he wanted the report to involve an assessment of the risk posed by Tack.

Judge Juckes said: "It's not a question of dangerousness but to look at whether there's some way of dissuading him from behaving in this way."

The case was adjourned until April 6, allowing time for the report to be prepared.

In the meantime Tack was remanded in custody.
