AN appeal has been launched after teenagers were threatened with a knife and robbed of their phones in the Black Country.

Police say a teen was allegedly dragged behind Matalan at the Merry Hill shopping centre, and punched and robbed of his phone.

Two other similar robberies saw teenagers targeted on the X10 bus in Halesowen, police said.

West Midlands Police has today released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to about the robberies, which took place between March 13 and 21.

A Force spokesperson said: "We want to speak to him as we are investigating three robberies between 13 and 21 March, where teenagers were threatened with a knife and forced to hand over their mobile phones.

"Two of the incidents took place between 6-8pm on the number X10 bus in Halesowen.

"The third robbery happened at 5pm at Merry Hill shopping centre, where a teenager was dragged behind Matalan, and punched and robbed of his phone."
