A MAN has been taken to hospital with serious leg injuries after a road crash in Gornal.
The incident involving a car and a pedestrian happened in Louise Street earlier today (Saturday July 4.)
West Midlands Police, fire and ambulance crews and the Midlands Air Ambulance were alerted just after 1.30pm and Louise Street has been closed to traffic, with buses diverted.

Due to a police incident on High Street the 27/27a diverted as follows:
27 via Bull St , Himley Rd, High Arcal Rd and vice versa in opposite direction
27A via The Straits, High Arcal Rd, Himley Rd, Bull St and vice versa in opposite direction
A spokesman for West Midlands Fire Service said firefighters from Dudley Fire Station attended after being alerted at around 1.40pm and a spokesman for West Midlands Police told the News: “We’re currently dealing with a serious collision between a car and a pedestrian in Louise Street, Gornal.
“A man has been taken to hospital with serious leg injuries.
“The driver is assisting police with their enquiries.”
