PUBS across Herefordshire cautiously opened their doors this morning and customers trickled in for their first poured pints since lockdown began in March.
Safety measures implemented
The Duke's Head in Leominster was one of those that opened their doors with a host of safety measures implemented.
On arrival customers were asked to line up outside and then give staff their contact details on a card for the track and trace system.
Screens were placed up to help with social distancing and hand sanitizer was provided for people to use on arrival. Screens are also being placed around the fruit machines.
Along with this the coffee machines at the Duke's Head had reminders on them about safety measures customers can implement to keep themselves safe.
The bar area also had signed places for people to stand to enable social distanced queuing.
In the outside smoking area social distance signs were also placed on the floor to direct people where they can stand.
Some tables inside and outside were blocked to enable social distancing. The Duke's Head will not be showing football or sporting events during July.
Many pubs are providing table service with no standing at the bar. The Oxford Arms in Hereford have a social distanced outside space for their customers.
Not all pubs are open
Not all pubs opened as many are still implemented social distancing measures.
The Press Room in Leominster was still providing alcoholic drinks to take away. They are due to open again on Friday, July 10.
