OUR campaign to back local business has been given a boost with Worcestershire Business Central joining as partners.

Worcestershire Business Central, which helps provide support and guidance to county businesses, has joined the Love Local Business campaign, which encourages our readers to spend their money locally to help traders recover from lockdown.

The WBC Growth Hub was set up in 2016 with the core aim of supporting SMEs to grow and develop.

Businesses are helped to develop their internal capability in order to improve their productivity, grow as businesses and create jobs.

Sally Stevenson, from Worcestershire Business Central, said: "We are very excited to be joining this campaign as it is very much a natural extension of what we do.

"We are the county’s growth hub, so we are here to be the first point of call for businesses of all shapes and sizes if they need help, training or support.

"It is our job to let businesses know what help and support is out there for them."

As an engagement manager, Mrs Stevenson’s job is to help businesses access the right support and funding to help them grow and thrive, something which is more important than ever as the county’s economy tries to recover from the coronavirus crisis.

Worcestershire Business Central is a partnership of central and local government, the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership and other bodies designed to support business in the county.

Help provided by WBC includes webinars, training and one to one sessions, where one of the organisation’s engagement staff will come and sit with business owners and discuss which financial and business support they are eligible for and how they can access it.
