AN Alcester care service has won an award for being one of the top providers in the West Midlands.

Alcester Home Care are celebrating after making the top 20 list out of hundreds of care providers in the region.

The provider received an award from the leading home care reviews site homecare.co.uk.

The award was based on the home care firm’s reviews from the people they care for, plus their friends and relatives.

Amanda Hopkins, reviews manager of homecare.co.uk, said: “People are living longer with more complex conditions, so home care providers, which offer compassionate, personalised care to people living in their own homes are becoming increasingly crucial in today’s society.

During the pandemic, home care providers have played a key role in caring for the elderly and vulnerable who may be self-isolating at home. They have been integral in providing care for people that are all too often forgotten about by society.

With some home care providers often providing live in care, they are also offering an increasingly popular option for those who need care but feel safer in their own homes while COVID-19 infections are still high in the UK.

“Alcester Home Care proved that it provides a high standard of care and we’d like to congratulate it on being a top home care firm in the West Midlands!

“Looking for the right home care provider can be time-consuming and difficult. We hope our awards will help to make people’s search that little bit easier.”

Dr Andrew Wallis, director of Alcester Home Care, said: “We are delighted to have received this award. We have a real passion for what we do and it’s great to have received recognition from clients and their families for being one of the top 20 home care providers in the West Midlands, a packed field with more than 1600 providers, we are privileged, proud and excited to continue improving”.
